In this presentation, we explore how patient engagement is changing the heart failure landscape and will discuss the opportunities and tensions that exist in patient-oriented cardiovascular research. We draw upon examples from the Canadian Heart Function Alliance and advocate for further research that advances POR methods and cardiovascular outcomes.
