CAOT-BC forum with Skye Barbic: Adopting a systems approach to occupational therapy

November 8 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

Skye Barbic, PhD, MSc, BSc(OT), BSc
Scientist, Advancing Health
Associate Professor, Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, UBC

Join BC occupational therapy leader Skye Barbic to discuss the impact of systems on practice. Occupational therapy in BC and Canada operates within a structured and collaborative system that often relies heavily on provincial and territorial leadership, education, and professional standards and guidelines. These systems can be challenging for occupational therapy professionals and clients to understand and navigate. This presentation will provide you with information on these health systems, as well as tips and ideas to learn about them, that can support client outcomes, practitioner excellence and well-being, and equitable access to occupational therapy care.

After you register, a Zoom link will be emailed to you automatically. If you do not receive it, check your spam.
