The 2018 cohort for the PHC Practice-Based Research Challenge were announced last week. The Research Challenge is an annual competition that aims to get point-of-care clinicians and staff involved in the design and implementation of small research projects.
This year, 11 teams were funded, 5 of which are mentored by CHÉOS Scientists. Drs. Sabrina Gill, Rick Sawatzky, Sandra Lauck (2 teams), and Martha Mackay, who also serves on the Research Challenge Advisory Committee. CHÉOS’ Dr. Shirin Kalyan is a member of the project team that will be mentored by Dr. Gill.
The Research Challenge is organized and led by CHÉOS Research Associate Aggie Black, Director, Health Services & Clinical and Knowledge Translation at PHC. CHÉOS staff members also provide research support services to the project teams. For more information about the program and for a full list of funded projects, see the recent PHC News article.
