CHÉOS scientists and staff gave UBC President Santa Ono a warm welcome during his visit to St. Paul’s Hospital on March 16.
CHÉOS investigators shared their research projects with Dr. Ono, who suggested potential areas for collaboration between UBC and CHÉOS, notably around CHÉOS projects exploring issues affecting youth.
Dr. Ono also announced that he was recently appointed Chief Advisor to the newly formed Innovation Network for the Province of British Columbia. The network is designed to foster greater collaboration between public post-secondary institutions and innovation-driven industries. In relation to this, he encouraged each of the researchers to reach out to him directly with positive ways to strategically facilitate innovation in the province.
