Alyson Wong

Scientist, MD, FRCPC, MHSc

Dr. Wong completed her core medical training at UBC, followed by a Respirology fellowship at Dalhousie University. She subsequently returned to UBC where she completed a 2-year clinical and research fellowship in interstitial lung disease (ILD) and a Master of Health Science.

Dr. Wong has a specific interest in integrating health economics and clinical research to provide high quality, cost-effective, and patient-centred ILD care. She co-leads health economics and outcomes research for the Canadian Registry for Pulmonary Fibrosis (CARE-PF), a multicentre, prospective registry with over 6,000 patients with fibrotic ILD. Dr. Wong’s research has been supported by the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, the BC and Canadian Lung Associations, Michael Smith Health Research BC, and CIHR.

Dr. Wong is a Respirologist at St. Paul’s Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
